Fatigue remains one of the most significant human performance risks in aviation, yet business aviation operations continue to evolve with longer-range aircraft, global missions, irregular schedules, and increasing operational complexity. Since the publication of the Flight Safety Foundation and NBAA Duty/Rest Guidelines for Business Aviation in 2014, significant advances in fatigue science, data analytics, and fatigue risk management have provided new insights into how organizations can better protect personnel and manage operational risk.
This session marks the release of the newly updated Duty & Rest Guidelines for Business Aviation, developed through a joint Flight Safety Foundation and NBAA initiative and informed by the latest fatigue research. Going beyond pilots alone, the updated guidance addresses fatigue risk across the entire operation—including flight attendants, maintenance technicians, schedulers, dispatchers, and operational leadership.
Through a moderated discussion featuring fatigue scientists, operators, and industry leaders, attendees will explore how modern fatigue management principles can be practically applied in today's business aviation environment.
